Nudist idea #100: Share the love of nudism

Here we are, the 100th idea. A little more than 100 days ago, I committed to share 100 nudity ideas to increase nude time and nudist friends, and this is it. Been there, done that!

I hope it has given you some ideas about how to share more of this lifestyle. If you are not a nudist, it may have triggered interests in becoming a nudist. In all cases, I hope it will increase the number of nudists around you, make you “come out” as a proud nudist, and help you share what naturism/nudism is about.

At the end of the day, naturism is a natural and healthy lifestyle. It has so many health, psychological and social benefits, described in numerous books and articles that you will find on this site and others, dedicated or not to naturism. As I wrote multiple time, nudity is comfortable and when you start living naked and doing activities naked, you will too find nudity much more comfortable than clothing, and completely natural. Unfortunately, our society has manufactured body shame, for many reasons, and the fashion industry has sexualized the naked body, up to a point that a vast majority of the population equates naked body with sex.

If you are not born in a naturist environment, you will probably need to learn to differentiate nudity from sex, and regain the pleasure of being naked outside of your bedroom. Enjoying the air on your skin, carrying all-day activity in your birthday suit, sharing nudity with others. All this may require courage at the beginning, but will quickly become a second nature. So all that nudists have to do is share! Share the beauty and comfort of being naked! Share the fact there’s nothing wrong in being naked at home, outside, alone and with others. There’s nothing wrong or dirty with naked bodies. To the opposite, we should be proud of our body, it’s ours and we have only one! It’s not about showing off or displaying it, it’s just about showing how confident and comfortable we are.

So my last idea is just the idea of this blog and why I created it some time back. Nudism is an incredible lifestyle. In this fast material world, it helps getting back to who we really are, stripped off our expensive status clothing, our shiny objects, and getting back to simplicity of just being naked! Plunge! Get Naked, Stay Naked, Live Naked and Share the Naked Love! You will never regret it!

Nudist idea #96: Go to hot spring pools

Beyond nude beaches, hot spring pools are places where nudity is generally accepted if not encouraged. It has some skinny-dipping flavor to it. It’s a great way to spend some time naked with others, encourage social nudity and break the ice to discuss naturism.

Related imageYou find hot spring pools in many countries around the world. In most, nudity is tolerated if not encouraged. Some are easily reachable, others require some good hiking shoes. Depending on the location and time of the year, you can even think of coupling your trip with a naked hike. Shed your clothes on the parking lot, hike naked to the pool, enjoy the day there and come back naked. This could be a full naked day in nature.

Image result for natural hot spring poolsOne of the cool things with hot spring pools is that, since nudity is accepted, you can go with non-nudist who will enjoy their naked time there. This becomes therefore a great moment to open up about nudism, share the comfort of nudity and invite them to join them to your next club week-end. Just like a beach cleaning event, you can leverage your time into recruitment time, and enjoy more friends joining the lifestyle, as the world needs more nudists!

Have you gone to hot spring pools? How was it? Tell us about your experience in the comments below. Get Naked, Stay Naked, Live Naked and Share the Naked Love!

Nudist idea #95: Create a naked hikes subgroup inside the local hiking group

There are many hiking group and very few naked hiking ones Sometimes it’s difficult to setup naked hikes, just because of the lack of members. One way to overcome the challenge is to create a naked hike subgroup within a larger hiking group.

Image result for randonné naturisteIf you love to hike naked and know about a clothed hiking group, pay the latter a visit. Become a member, explain that you are a member of a local nudist group, and that sometimes you hike naked. Ask if the group would accept naked hikers during normal hikes and if a subgroup of naked hikers could be setup.

There’s of course a risk that the group refuses, but there’s a chance it accepts. It can therefore work multiple ways:

  • You can join normal hikes and get naked if the group accepts, showing people social nudity is normal.
  • You can setup your own naked hikes and invite others to participate naked or not.
  • You can help the organizing committee showing your commitment to the group.

Image result for randonnée naturisteThe whole idea is to expose more people to naturism and naked hiking in particular, showing there’s nothing wrong with it, and inviting others to shed their clothes to enjoy the freedom. This will be a recruitment driving force for your nudist club too.

Have you organized a naked hike group? How is it working? Tell us about your experience in the comments below. Get Naked, Stay Naked, Live Naked and Share the Naked Love!

Nudist idea #80: Take a bath/shower and stay naked

Taking a bath or a shower requires that we get naked. It’s generally a pleasant experience. You take care of yourself and get out clean and smelling nice. Why not using this opportunity to stay naked?

Image result for taking a bath

A bath or a warm shower is relaxing. It’s a personal moment you take car about yourself and experience a deep level of relaxation. It’s a moment as well where nudity is not even a question. It’s therefore e moment where nudity feels so natural that you are in harmony with your naked body. So why not continue beyond the bath or shower. When you are so well after, just step outside of the bathtub and continue taking care of yourself. Then step out of the bathroom and do what you have to do without getting clothed.

Image result for taking a showerUse this moment of wellness to appreciate nudity, its comfort. You will quickly understand nudity is normal, natural and healthy. There’s nothing more relaxing and comfortable than staying clothes free and doing what has to be done without wearing any clothing. Give it a try. Nobody will be harmed. Just step out the bathroom and “forget” to get clothed. You are on the edge of discovering a new world, the world of naturism!

So, as nudists, do stay naked after your bath/shower? Share your experiences in the comments below. In the meantime, Get Naked, Stay Naked, Live Naked and Share the Naked Love!

Nudist idea #72: Taking care of yourself (pampering)

We live in a fast-paced world and stopping to breathe is essential to our well-being. The Cambridge dictionary gives the following definition for pamper: to give someone special treatment, making that person as comfortable as possible and giving them whatever they want.

There are many ways to give oneself special treatment (and no, this may not be what you think about). Here are some ideas to spend a comfortable time. Put some cool and relaxing music. Start with a bath, or a shower if you do not have a bathtub. And take your time! Take your time to enjoy the water on your body, to regain your sensation and to slow down. If you have the chance to have a sauna, or pamper at your spa (allowing full nudity), spend some time in the sauna for a good sweat.

Once done, dry yourself and apply generously body lotion. Once again take your time to massage your body, starting from your feet and going up to your face. Be kind and gentle with your skin. Appreciate it, how it protects you and how it is beautiful. Then, you can shave or wax your body if you want to get rid of your hair. You can spend some time on your nails, both feet and hands, to make them perfect, and apply some nail polish. Take care of your face, shaving, applying some face scrub and lotion, and makeup. If you happen to have a companion, you can ask him/her to give you a massage, then the rest may be really personal. Enjoy!

Do you take time to take care of yourself? How is it? We would love to hear about your experiences with it in the comment section below. As usual, Get Naked, Stay Naked, Live Naked and Share the Naked Love !

Nudist idea #66: Play volleyball naked

Many nudist resorts setup games for their residents. Among the many sports you can practice naked is volleyball.

Image result for volleyball nakedVolleyball is fun. Many nudist resorts have a volleyball ground either permanent or temporary. All you need is some other nudists, a ball and off you go, for a fun or serious game. Whether you play well or not is irrelevant. The idea here is to have a fun activity with a bunch of friends and new acquaintances in you best suit, your birthday one. Actually, when you think about it, if you play cool and not competitive, you do not need any clothing. If you look at what the beach volleyball players wear, you realize that they are not naked because society does not allow it, although I particularly find the women attire very sexual, with their tight micro shorts, but this is another topic.

In the video above from Active Naturists is serious volleyball, played naked. You can see that even a very serious game does not require clothing. So, during your next stay at your nudist resort, have a game or organize one. I’m sure many other fellow nudists will happily share this sport moment and create additional bonds for other future naked activities!

Nudist idea #65: get an overall tan

I personally find tan lines disgraceful. If there are times you cannot be entirely naked, you need to do your best to avoid tan lines, by either stay away from the sun, get tan through swimsuit or just get naked!

Image result for tan linesTan lines are the result of getting under the same with some clothing on, like the lady on the left pictures. Of course, if you are never naked, you may not care at all. However, if you are a nudist, it will make you smile or cringe. In all cases, it’s better to try to avoid tan lines and the best way is to get suntanned entirely naked, using good sunscreen to protect your skin, particularly in those places that are not used to see the sun often, after a long winter with clothes on.

Image result for nudist with no tan linesHaving no tan lines is more beautiful, IMHO. It’s also showing your dedication to nudism/naturism. Many of us naturists pay attention to get tanned without wearing anything from the first days of the year. This way, we avoid all nasty tan lines and prepare our skin to get an overall tan. Although we need to protect our skin, from the Harvard Medical School, exposing it moderately to the sun has many health benefits. The mindbodygreen website provides 10 healing benefits of sun exposure, both physical and psychological. Not counting that with wet swimsuits your covered parts remain web longer and this can cause skin disorders. So in our case, the more skin the merrier: get your whole body exposed by getting naked. No wet swimsuits, total freedom and no tan lines. I still cannot find one positive benefit of getting tan lines, but just to conform to what society wants us to believe is good… Get naked, get tanned, forget tan lines and invite your friends to join!

Do you still have tan lines or not? What about having none? We would love to hear about your experience in the comment section below. As usual, Get Naked, Stay Naked, Live Naked and Share the Naked Love!

Why we need to distinguish nudity from sexuality

Very sensible and well written article following the cancellation of a nude swim event in Calgary, from The Globe and Mail. For naturists, the distinction is obvious, but we need to continuously educate others of social nudity and its many benefits. Nudity is natural and normal, social nudity is otherwise called naturism and it’s an awesome lifestyle. Society definitely needs to distinguish nudity from sexuality and naturists play a huge role in this.

Nudist idea #59: Get to a naked yoga class

It seems naked yoga as taken the yoga world by storm. Almost every week, you read about this new naked yoga class, or this gym club that opened a naked yoga section. Some are even developing and leveraging the web, like Naked in Motion, if you happen to live in New York or Boston or Yoga Naturiste Paris, if you are in Paris. As a naturist, you cannot but rejoice of those news! The Naked Yoga School site is also a great resource to learn more about naked yoga.

Image result for naked yogaYoga is good for the body and the mind. It helps to make your body stronger and more flexible at the same time. There’s no silver bullet to a better health but having a balanced diet, sleep enough and have a physical activity. Yoga is one of those activities and you can more and more practice it naked, whether at home or at a naked yoga class. The latter is better for two reasons: one, you are guided, therefore can learn new positions and get corrected if needed, second, you will meet other like-minded people and may expand the number of your nudist friends.

Image result for naked yoga classBut why practicing yoga naked? There are multiple reasons. To me, it starts with comfort and well-being. I am just better naked and feel better when having any activities entirely naked. Then, you have no clothes that will interfere with your movement and positions. You will see your body working, your muscles, your exact position in the mirror if there is one. Finally, you will appreciate more this body of yours. Many claims that during a naked yoga class, you will also realize that other bodies are not perfect. This is one of the many benefits of social nudism.

Are you practicing naked yoga? Alone or in a group? We would love to hear about your experience in the comment section below. As usual, Get Naked, Stay Naked, Live Naked and Share the Naked Love!

Nudist idea #56: Go to a naked sauna

One of the many things I’ve never understood is the policy to keep a towel on in a sauna, or even a swimsuit in a wet sauna. It really, really sucks! I love going for 10 to 15 minutes in a sauna after a good workout, and I always go naked.

Image result for naked sauna

In Northern Europe, most saunas, if not all are naked ones. I love this post on the Finnish sauna experience. Sauna is IMHO better experienced totally naked so you can sweat and relax nicely. Wherever there’s a sauna and I have time to have one, I never wear anything under my towel. If there are other users in the sauna, I ask if they mind if I take my towel off knowing that I’m naked. I’ve never had a no! Actually, I’ve had smiles and people taking their towels off too. And we are on a great conversation about naturism and its many benefits.

Image result for naked saunaBeing naked is comfortable. If you are not totally comfortable with your own naked body, spending some time in a naked sauna with other like-minded people will definitely help. Like the experience in a nudist club or resort, you will encounter all body shapes, all kinds of people, but almost always, very friendly and open-minded one. Going to a sauna entirely naked is definitely something you should consider on your quest to more social nudity, and it’s said to be good for your health!
