After winter, the beaches are not generally as clean as they were during summer. Winter storms have thrown on the shores many trashes. Spring is an ideal time to help get the beach clean for the warm season. Why not offering your arms to your municipality? With one twist: clean the beach naked to promote naturism?
Of course, if you want to clean a naked beach, you will not need any authorization. However, if you want to be a good citizen and offer your arms, it will require some negotiation. Propose to your nudist club to go and see the municipality to see if they need help to clean the beach. Tell them you are ready to do this for free with the help of your nudist club members. You will clean the nudist part of the beach and may be others if the municipal council agrees.
If you have a go, ensure it drives some publicity from the local press and use this event to promote naturism. If the weather does not allow you to be naked, so be it, but ensure people know that you are from the nearby naturist club and promote naturism, by offering a free day at the club to newbies. You will kill many birds with one stone: promoting naturism, recruiting new members and setting your club in the normal social setting. Icing on the cake, you will have a clean beach for spring and summer!

What harm will you do by opening the door naked? You may shock the delivery guy, or not. I know those guys have seen generally much worse, and on top of this, they are generally in a hurry for another delivery, so they will not spend time thinking about what’s happening.
Very few people are going to the beach at night. Some may light a bonfire, some may try skinny dipping if the water is not too cold, but very few will and this provides a great opportunity on a cool night to stroll along the seashore, just wearing your smile enjoying the coolness of the atmosphere.

Generally skinny dippers tend to wrap themselves into towels once out of water for modesty. However, if one or two stay naked without towel, it’s a great opening to having more people to stay naked and join nudist activities. If you are a seasoned nudist, grab any opportunity to go skinny dipping and explain to people the many benefits of social nudity and nudism. As the organizers state: “”Radical self-expression arises from the unique gifts of the individual. No one other than the individual or a collaborating group can determine its content. It is offered as a gift to others. In this spirit, the giver should respect the rights and liberties of the recipient.” This leads to have a lot of people enjoying Burning Man naked, as also using their own body to do art.
But of course, the main objective of Burning Man is art. And enjoying or performing art naked when you are a nudist is a kind of a Holy Grail. Since the event is in the scorching desert of Nevada in Summer, be prepared to get some serious sun lotion and stock it as almost nothing can be purchased locally during the festival (including food and water). Despite many criticisms over the year, Burning Man remain strong and a wonderful time to be socially naked while enjoying art.
Actually, even if your car is a private property, you can be seen by the public and it may therefore be illegal to drive naked. In all cases, you will use a towel to sit on and wrap around your waist in case you are stopped by a police officer.
You are invited at a barbecue or pool party at one of your friend’s place. The weather is forecasted beautiful. What are you going to wear? If your friends are naturists and know you are one, your option to get naked is open. However, there may be non naturist people at the event, and even naturists may feel uncomfortable. We’ll look into this in a moment. Now, if your friends are not naturists, your option to go naked is low. But, it’s not zero, it’s actually never zero, until you ask.
Because this is ultimately what it is all about: asking for permission to get naked! This may sound strange or awkward at first, but it will become a second nature as soon as you realize it’s totally appropriate, natural and normal! One of the best ways I found was first of all not to take any swimsuit. If your friend has a pool, just ask if it’s ok if you go naked in the pool as you have not taken your swimsuit and you are comfortable being naked. In most of the cases, at the notable exception of the presence of kids that may be shocked, it works wonderfully and you can take a swim naked. From there on, when you get out of the swimming pool, stay naked and act casually. There’s little chance your friend will ask you to dress up. Some people may actually join you skinny dipping. This will be a great victory having more people join nudism.
In case of a barbecue party and there’s no swimming pool, wait a little while. After a couple of glasses of wine or beers, inhibitions are lowering and the temperature makes people more comfortable, start taking your shirt off and at one point, ask your host if they are comfortable by you getting naked, as you are a naturist and enjoy being naked. Tell them, there’s nothing sexual here, it’s just your lifestyle. In most cases, your host will be OK and you will be enjoying some nude time, while sharing your lifestyle with others.
